朱炳昱 Ping-Yu Chu

Mr. Chu Ping-Yu, a native of Yongjing Township in Changhua County, is widely recognized for his affable and modest demeanor.

Beginning with Long Bon Construction, he successfully transitioned the company into an industrial holding company before assuming the role of chairman at Taiwan Life Insurance.

Today, he holds the position of chairman at H&D Asset Management, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to exploring global investment prospects and supporting the growth of start-ups. Furthermore, he remains devoted to philanthropic endeavors, tirelessly contributing to society and making a positive impact.

1988

Founded Longbon Construction

He began his career with Long Bon Construction in 1988, developing numerous well-known residential and commercial buildings. Over time, he transformed the company into an industrial holding corporation, with investments in construction, finance, technology, and venture capital. Additionally, he expanded the company's operations to mainland China through joint ventures.

Weshare Education Foundation

Mr. Chu never forgets his roots. He established the Weshare Education Foundation in 1993 to invest in charitable educational endeavors, helping disadvantaged rural students with after-school tutoring, awarding scholarships to encourage learning, and providing care for disadvantaged seniors and community activities.

Taiwan Life Insurance

In 1999, he assumed the position of Chairman at Taiwan Life Insurance and led the company to five consecutive years (1999-2003) as the top-earning financial insurance company listed on the stock market. He was also honored with the "Times Elite Award" in 2002 for financial services. In 2016, Taiwan Life Insurance was officially merged into CTBC Holding, and Mr. Chu stepped down in 2018.

H&D Asset Management

In 1994, Mr. Chu founded and established H&D Asset Management Co., Ltd. using his personal funds. In 2016, the company officially transformed into an asset management company. With many years of experience in the financial industry and asset management, Mr. Chu provides funding, resource sharing, and other forms of assistance to start-up companies with specialized expertise and high growth potential. He aims to help them stabilize and rapidly expand, with the ultimate goal of achieving IPO.
